Transportation Benefit

Peoples Health dual-eligible special needs plans offer a routine transportation benefit. Members pay $0 for transportation to and from network doctor offices, pharmacies and other plan-approved locations within 75 miles of the home. The number of covered one-way trips varies by plan.

Peoples Health plans also cover emergency transportation via ambulance. See your Evidence of Coverage for details.

Call 1-888-462-6046 (TTY 711). Representatives are available seven days a week, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. CT.

You can schedule the trip up to two weeks early and no later than two business days in advance.

Please note the following:

You may have to share a ride with other passengers
Wheelchair-accessible vans are available if needed
Trips are curb-to-curb service
You must be able to walk without help from the driver

If you need assistance getting in or out of vehicles, you can bring a companion who is 18 years or older.
